Feel your taste buds jumping? Virginia Beach Restaurant Week-- an eagerly-awaited annual opportunity to sample the best Virginia Beach Restaurants for a reduced, fixed price--is coming January 13-20!

With over 40 fabulous restaurants participating, you can let your appetite run wild at this citywide culinary event, featuring prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

Two-course lunches will be available for $10.08. Three-course dinners will be $25.08. At these prices, you'll be able to savor some of Virginia Beach’s most delicious recipes at a fraction of the cost.

The week will also feature a Celebrity Culinary Challenge at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Thursday, January 10th from 2-4 p.m. Watch area chefs pair up with local celebrities to out-cook the competition.

Reservations for Virginia Beach Restaurant Week are recommended, but not required.

Anheuser-Busch is once again offering its Here’s to the Heroes program, which provides a single day’s free admission to any one of the company's parks for the service member and up to three direct dependents. Anheuser-Busch parks include SeaWorld, Busch Gardens in Tampa and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Sesame Place, Adventure Island, and Water Country USA in Williamsburg.

So far, nearly 2 million members of the US and coalition armed forces and their families have take advantage of the offer.

Visit Colonial Williamsburg now and you'll save 30% off the regular admission. Their "Winter Season Special" (valid January 2 - March 17, 2008) allows you to visit all the usual sites for only $25, a $12 savings over the regular fee for its One Day Pass.

Plus, you'll receive one free youth ticket (ages 6-17) with each adult ticket purchased (additional youth tickets $13 - $5 off the regular price).

January 29, 2008 18:20 - Williamsburg Presidents Museum Going to the Dogs

Presidents Park, an outdoor museum in Williamsburg, Virginia, featuring 18-foot-tall busts of the 43 U.S. presidents, is going to the dogs.

The Annapolis-based Presidential Pet Museum, which features locks of hair from President Ronald Reagan's dog, Lucky, and a painting of President Bill Clinton's Labrador, Buddy, has closed and sent exhibits to Presidents Park.

In addition to letting visitors peruse massive white busts of American presidents, Presidents Park offers exhibits on little-known presidential facts - such as which commander-in-chief was ambidextrous, and which president was known as the "Preacher President."

The park is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm in season, and 9 am to 4 pm November through March.
